The Rothko Transmission
Somewhere in the city, a handler known only as "Vermillion" has gone dark. The last thing she left behind was a series of dead drops โ each one a fragment of a classified dossier hidden inside a Rothko painting's color field. Field Agent Rosey has been activated. The mission: recover the fragments before they fall into the wrong hands. But as each drop is found, the picture that emerges is more complicated than anyone at headquarters anticipated. The colors don't just hold secrets. They hold a reckoning.
Rosey finds the first dossier fragment โ a color-coded document bearing Vermillion's cipher. Crimson means urgent. The picture is starting to take shape.
The second fragment changes everything. Vermillion didn't disappear โ she chose to vanish. Someone at headquarters cannot be trusted. The mission just got more complicated.
The last dead drop. An envelope marked EYES ONLY โ ROSEY. Inside, Vermillion's final letter โ a message hidden in color, written for no one else.
The mission is over. The dossier assembled. Vermillion is safe โ and her final act was not a distress signal but a gift. Rosey sees the full picture at last.
Rosey receives her activation package โ a sealed envelope bearing Vermillion's red ink brushstroke and a single word: LOOK. The mission has begun.
